Uvongo on the South Coast of Kwazulu-Natal is one of the rare places on earth that blends unsurpassed natural beauty and a warm sunny climate, creating a stunning all year round holiday destination in a malaria free area. Six "Blue flag"- beaches are within walking distance and exciting ocean related adventures such as diving, fishing, whale and dolphin watching and the famous sardine run are waiting to be explored.
Golfers will find paradise, with 7 superb golf courses meandering through the coastal forests and lagoons (Wild Coast Sun Country Club; San Lameer Country Club; Southbroom Golf Club; Port Shepstone Country Club; Margate Country Club; Selborne Country Club; Umdoni Park Golf Club)
Restaurants are plentiful and you can sample a tasty seafood dish at a stylish restaurant while sipping wine and watching the moon rise over the sea, or dance the night away.
Ramble along the Art route on the coastal road where you will see tantalising signposts leading off to craft shops, artists’ studios, art galleries, leather and wood workers workshops and farm stalls.
Wildlife nature reserves are close by and a botanical paradise and many hours and days can be spend exploring the diverse flora.
